I Gusti Ayu Agung Pradnya Paramitha
I am an Indonesian young researcher at the Research Center for Limnology and Water Resources, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). Currently, I am enrolled for a PhD degree at the School of Geoscience, University of Sydney. My research focus is in paleolimnology. Through this research, I want to reveal the environmental shift due to climate change and anthropogenic factors in tropical lakes, specifically volcanic tropical lakes like Lake Batur in Bali. The result of this research will be fundamental baseline data to facilitate more effective conservation and management of volcanic lakes in Indonesia. Furthermore, the results will have a social and economic impact since climate change and anthropogenic factors affect freshwater ecosystems directly and indirectly, and they will influence the local economy over time.
