Tobias O Bickel
Principal Scientist Dr. Tobias Bickel is leading the Aquatic Weed Management Research team (Invasive Plant Sciences, QDPI) and has a strong background in freshwater ecology (PhD in Freshwater Biology, University of Otago). He has more than 20 years of aquatic weed research experience, including the management of aquatic weeds with herbicides. Tobias has published scientific articles and presented talks in international and domestic conferences regarding aquatic plant ecology and management. Currently, the aquatic weed management team focuses on the integrated management of aquatic weeds and develops new aquatic herbicide control tools.
