Anushiya Sireeranhan
Dr. Anushiya Sireeranhan is a senior lecturer in Agricultural Economics at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka. She recently completed her PhD at QUT Business School, Australia, where her research focused on sustainable groundwater management and the environmental impacts of agricultural intensification. Dr. Sireeranhan has presented her findings at various national and international conferences, including the 2023 Australasian Conference of Economists (ACE), and Innovation Economics in Queensland Research Symposium. Her research interests align closely with water sustainability and climate adaptation in rural communities. She has collaborated on multidisciplinary projects with Griffith University and the University of the Sunshine Coast, contributing to studies on tourism, environmental sustainability, and regional innovation. Her work offers practical insights into sustainable resource use and policy design in water-stressed agricultural regions.
